Unbleached or bleached – does it make a difference?

In short: hardly any difference in taste. If you rinse the filter with hot water before brewing, your coffee will taste practically identical with both types.

Unbleached filters (brown) are made without bleach and are therefore the more environmentally friendly choice.

Bleached filters (white) have a slightly more neutral taste right out of the package.
